BP on Thursday night was bad. It came suddenly and I felt giddy and faint and felt the whole room was spinning. I knew it was low. It was 93/57. Friday's reading was still low. Thus, dad was the driver to pick Jo up from school. Rested and slept the whole day. And I am better today. Pressure has returned to normal. :)
What caused that??
ReplyDeleteThe terrible flu bug. But I am good now. Am trying to move around more.
ReplyDeleteCan you drink licorice tea? It's supposed to raise your blood pressure. When I was a medical assistant we gave it to patients who didn't have good veins for IVs and blood draws.
DeleteIf I am not mistaken, licorice is very high in salicylates. I forgot to tell you, I have an allergy book which was written by my allergist and his son who is a scientist in US. I'll email you the title. It has everything about allergy and also salicylates.
DeleteYeah, I wouldn't doubt it's high. I think many herbs are. A book I have says these foods are good for low blood pressure and especially if they are juiced: pineapple, celery, black radish, parsley (!), carrot, red beet, grapes, onions, and garlic. Also a diet with whole grains, nuts and seeds, milk, butter, cheese.
DeleteOOoohhh! I can eat celery, carrots (occasionally), onions and garlic. Grains would be oats, and barley. Butter is yummy too!! :) Thanks.
DeleteI am eating more salt in my diet to push the BP up.
