1. 250gm of black eye peas (washed and soaked overnight in a bowl of water)
2. 1 whole chicken (cut into 4 parts and skin-less)
3. Water
4. Sea-salt

1. Put the peas and the whole chicken into a very large pot.
2. Fill the pot with water until the chicken is submerged.
3. Boil for 2 hours.
4. Add sea-salt to taste.
5. Serve the soup hot.

For dinner, we had rice with the soup, peas and the chicken from the soup. |
Looks delicious. Sorry I have been so out of the loop lately. I am doing better, much better. The acupuncture treatments really helped...that and the fact that the woman who gives me acupuncture is a real healer and lead me to meditation and some other spiritual methods. I had a relaxing summer, spent meditating and chanting...praying, exploring. I am still very dependent on all of my allergy medicine and am going to begin testing for allergy shots as soon as I can get off the antihistimines for three days in a row...enough to get them out of my system so I can test...even though I have been tested countless times before and KNOW what I am allergic too. Trying my best to always stay positive and mindful of my inner life as well as the outer...taking care of myself more and working on yoga almost daily. All good things...but still ever vigilant of my throat swelling, breathing issues, etc. How are you doing? I love keeping up with you via your blog...Seems like you are doing well.
