Classic Oatmeal Cookies


1. 1/2 cup of butter (softened at room temperature)
2. 1/2 cup of soft brown sugar
3. 1 teaspoon of baking soda
4. 2 eggs (room temperature)
5. 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla essence
6. 1 1/2 cups of organic all-purpose flour
7. 3 cups of rolled oats


1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and baking soda. Mix until well blended.

2. Beat in the eggs and vanilla essence and mix until well blended.

3. Add in the flour and mix thoroughly.

4. Add in the oats and mix thoroughly.

5. Preheat oven at 190C.

6. Drop tablespoons of dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

7. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

8. Allow to cool.

9. The cookies can be stored in the fridge in an airtight container.
